Gao Ran PhD, China

Ran Gao PhD, is the board member of CALAS, and the vice chairman of International collaboration and communication committee, CALAS. She is the associate professor of Institute of Laboratory Animal Sciences (ILAS), Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CAMS). She received her phD degree from University of Tsukuba, Japan in 2012, was a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan.

As a group leader, Prof. Gao has been engaged in laboratory animal models for human cancer and comparative medicine, mainly focuses the development of human cancer animal models and mechanism of cancer metastasis. Her work has led to the generation of more than 200 patient derived tumor xenograft models, which would be of great use for personalization therapy of those cancer patients.  She is an author of over 40 papers appeared in domestic and international literature. Prof. Gao is the editorial board member of Animal Models and Experimental Medicine (AMEM, the only English journal in laboratory animal field in China).
