Du Guanhua, Ph.D., professor of pharmacology. Associate Dean of the Institutes of Materia Medica, Peking Union Medical College, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences; Director of the National Center for pharamceutical Screening. Formaer President of the Chinese Pharmacological Society; Member of the Executive Committee of the International Union of Clinical and Basic pharmacology (IUPHAR); Vice Chairman of the Natural and Traditional Medicine Division of the IUPHAR; Member of the Executive Committee of the Asia Pacific Association of Pharmacists; China Executive director of the Crystal Society; Member of the general expert group of the National Science and Technology Major Project “Major New Drug Creation”; member of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia Commission. More than 90 patents have been proved, more than 30 monographs and more than 600 papers have been published. He won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and more than ten provincial and ministerial awards.
