INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR COMPARATIVE MEDICINE

The Lancet-CAMS Health Summit was successfully held in Beijing on October 30-31, 2016. Academician Xuetao Cao, president of CAMS & PUMC, Dr. Philippe Terheggen, managing director of Elsevier's Science, Technology and Medical (STM) Journals, Dr. Richard Horton, editor-in-chief of Lancet, Dr. Bill Summerskill, executive editor ofLancet, Sir Richard Peto, professor of Oxford University, Prof. Barry Bloom, former dean of the Harvard School of Public Health, Prof. Roger Glass, director of the Fogarty International Center of the National Institutes of Health of the United States, Prof. Shuyang Zhang, vice president of the CAMS & PUMC, and other Chinese and foreign experts attended the summit. President Xuetao Cao and Dr. Richard Horton gave welcome speeches respectively.
This summit brought together top scientists specializing in medical research at home and abroad. Nearly 500 scientists from 7 countries and regions attended this health-focused summit. They had in-depth discussions on health of women and children, migration, urbanization and health, clinical medicine, medical education, infections, public health, aging and health.



This summit offered a platform for them to exchange views on difficult issues and hot topics in medical fields through speeches, presentations and discussions, aiming to promote exchanges between Chinese scientists and top-class foreign scientists.
